If you are fortunate during your life, there will be people along your journey that will help you become a better person or maybe force you to examine your life – beliefs, habits, thoughts, etc. I have been fortunate to have a couple of different people in my life that have helped me in that way. My music man is such a person. Why do I call him the Music Man? God has gifted this person with amazing musical talents – song writing, orchestrating, leading, ability to play anything that makes a sound and last but certainly not least – a beautiful voice to sing with!

If you like real people then you would love this music man, as he is about the most real person I have ever met. If you like Godly people then you will absolutely love this music man but I need to warn you – when I say Godly, I don’t mean religious, those types of folks are a dime a dozen. You can see them at most churches every Sunday across America. This guy has a heart for the Lord, understands that it is only by God’s grace and mercy that he is able to do what he does. The music man is not perfect nor does he pretend to be which is an added bonus!! He lives his life on the edge, praising God with every step he takes.

For me, that is where he most blesses me! I have learned from him that Praise is an on-going thing, a life-style to be lived out 24/7 and NOT just for 20 minutes on Sunday morning.  So that no matter what else is going on in my life, I can always give My Praise to Jesus!! and if nothing else, I can always celebrate what He has done for me!

It is a rare thing these days to see someone use the talents that God has given them to further His Kingdom and I have been fortunate to witness this first hand over the past 4 years. My music man will begin a new chapter next month as once again he is answering a burden that God has placed on his heart. To take his talents and gifts to a new audience. And although sad to lose him, I am grateful that God placed him here for a season that I, along with my family could learn a deeper meaning of what it is to Praise.
